Everybody likes a raise. Who doesn’t? The feeling is even more
fulfilling if you received an addition to your salary due to
exemplary performance. It makes you feel appreciates, that you are
loved. If you have been faithfully serving you dollar master for
sometime now, you will inevitably feel you deserve it. And you do.
The challenge is thus to make management realize that you actually

In more formal organizations, typically the bigger corporate
setup, pay raises are defined in the company’s employee benefits
and compensation plans. There are specific policies that dictate

Educational Premiums. A college degree would definitely entitle

certainly find better offers. Companies know that - and because no
one wants to give out their best talents or lose them to
competitors, you would more likely be given a promotion or at the

earn extra with the same company. It could be rather unusual or
uncommon but some companies do allow you to take on a second job
with them. Yes, play two roles, put in more hours. When companies
are downsizing, not every department is authorized to do overtime
work. As extra hours on the same job are paid higher, overtime is
usually the first hit by budget cuts hammered by most boards. If

part-time in another department. It’s not uncommon to find
